  • Municipalities are not required to clean or disinfect playground equipment regularly. Please be aware of risks, use proper hand hygiene, do not touch your face while on playground structures and do not share sports equipment or toys.
  • Children and adults should wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and/or sanitize hands BEFORE and AFTER using the playground. Be especially vigilant after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

The new accessible playground at Mohawk Park will be under construction starting August 10th and will continue into October of 2020. The existing playground and a portion of the parking lot will be closed while construction is underway. While we are sad to see this playground closed for construction this summer, we can't wait to share the new playground with you! Please visit our project page for updates brantford.ca/MohawkPlayground

ALL AMENITIES CLOSED - As part of the City of Brantford’s ongoing response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and current provincial directives mandating no social gatherings of 5 people or more, Mayor Kevin Davis, as Head of Council, has signed an Order under section 4(1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act strictly prohibiting the use of amenities such as playground equipment, picnic tables, benches, shelters, exercise equipment, pads, and courts, located in any municipal park or on property owned or operated by The Corporation of the City of Brantford. This Order also effectively closes all municipally-owned or operated golf courses and sports fields for play. Walking or jogging at any sports fields, while maintaining the provincially-mandated social distancing, is permitted, subject to applicable by-laws and rules with respect to those fields.
